It's been a while since I updated my blog so I thought I would let you know how The Noorda's are doing.

We've lived here in Pocatello now for about a year and a half. It's been a great adventure and I think I've finally accepted the idea that I will be in Idaho for a while. Travis and I have been looking at homes and property to buy but we haven't quite found the place yet. Travis likes more south in Mccammon by Lava Hot Springs and I want to be a little closer to Pocatello because lets face it, I get bored with the mountains as my only neighbor. I'm sure we'll find something we both love we just need to be patient.

Travis is doing so well at his job. He loves it and we are so happy that his employers appreciate all the hard work he does for them. He is the hardest worker I know and I am so happy that I can be at ease knowing he is taking care of me.

My job is going really well too. I really enjoy being a manger but it has a lot of responsibility and can be stressful at times. I also am teaching the CTR 4 in primary and am really enjoying it. I teach all boys and they are a handful! They stress me out and push my buttons but I still end up loving each one of them.

We are looking forward to General Conference this weekend and so excited for Easter and hope to post some pictures then.

I love you all and hope you are enjoying yourselves.

Love, Jessica

Not Much

So not much has been going on in my little world of Pocatello. Travis and I are still working hard and going to bed at 9:00 almost every single night! What a life huh?!?

Blogging is the last thing on my mind, so I am sorry but hopefully exciting things will happen in the near future and I will for sure let you know!

Love you all

Sunny California!

Travis's work decided that they would send him to some training courses in California. I was so excited because I got to go too! We went to San Fransisco and I loved every minute of it.

They got us a car and a GPS system which was a total life saver! Travis had classes from 8:00 to 4:00 so I got to explore Cali on my own with out a care in the world because of my handy GPS guy! I drove all over. Travis couldn't believe that I managed to drive 800 miles by the end of the week!

The first day we got there we went to Fisherman's Wharf and to the Ghirardelli Chocolate factory where I bought myself the best chocolate shake ever. It was $9.00 but totally worth the money. We saw a bunch of sea lions on the wharf just chilling and enjoyed the street entertainment.

The next night we ate at the Cheesecake Factory on top of the Macy's building downtown San Fransisco. I was in total heaven surround by all the stores. Dolce and Gabbana, Louis Vuitton , Tiffany's, basically every store that I would never go into because I couldn't afford it but it was just cool to see.

The next day we went to Golden Gate Bridge and drove through China Town which was very interesting to see. I loved the sign on the bridge that says " Don't Jump, Get Help!" It was quite a ways down and I can see why people die.

We drove over to Oakland and saw the Temple which was beautiful and then we drove to Santa Cruz and enjoyed the ocean. I was so excited that the weather was nice. No rain at all and sunny all week long.

The last day we went to Alcatraz. This was a pretty cool place. It had a different feeling to it but it was neat. We rode a boat out to the island and got to see where they kept the prisoners. Their cells were super small. I made Travis stand in the Solitary Confinement cell and he didn't like that too much. This is where they left you if you were really bad. It had no chairs or a bed just a toilet, concrete, and completely dark. They would leave someone in there for weeks!

I can see why the prisoners went crazy because you could see and hear San Fransisco from the Island. It was a little over a mile away. It made me decided that I never want to go to prison.

So there ya go! I had such a wonderful time in Cali that I never wanted to come back. Travis was a little out of his comfort zone but he still enjoyed himself. Welcome back to Pocatello Idaho :(

What a Rush!!!

First of all, I would like to apologize for my lack of blogging. I've been so busy getting settled in up here in "Poky" that I haven't had time nor any experiences to blog about. We've been doing great, and are really enjoying Pocatello......sort of. Travis is really liking it a lot but I'm still getting use to the idea of all the one way streets and all the Indians!

Travis's job is going so great, and we feel so blessed to have it. I am so relieved to know that I can fall down and break any bone because now I have Health Insurance!!! I'm so proud of him and all the hard work he does for our little family.

Our ward is really nice. We both have callings. I am a team teacher for the 4 year olds in Primary, and Travis is the assistant Scout Leader. Teaching primary is really fun but it is not helping my case with having children.....won't be having one of those anytime soon!

There really isn't a lot to do up here in Pocatello, so we brought our horses up and go riding whenever we can and just today I had my first LION HUNT EXPERIENCE!! WHAT A RUSH!

Justin called us this morning and told us that his dogs had the lion treed and that we should come before it jumps. So we got in the truck and drove to where they were. I was so happy that we didn't have to hike all over the mountain. The lion was 30 yards from the road. Here are a few pictures of the crazy beast!

He was a little upset!

I was so close!

Travis had a great day!

Crazy huh?!? I can now say that I have been on a lion hunt and have seen a mountain lion face to face! Love you all!

My First Craft!

Last night I became domestic. I did my first craft ever! I know that sounds odd, but I have NEVER been into the "crafty" things until last week. My mom showed me these cute pumpkins and I just thought..."What the heck, I'll give it a shot."

I am quite pleased at the way it turned out and and quite impressed with my skills:) I know Melissa is proud, and you should all be too because seriously, I DO NOT DO CRAFTS!

New Home

So Travis and I are starting to really enjoy our new life in the Great State of Idaho! We moved to Pocatello about a week ago for Travis's job and are discovering that it isn't as bad as we thought it would be. I'll let you know all the details later when I have a little bit more time to blog. But for right now, just know that we are happy and really enjoying our time together!

Love you all

Next Top Model

This weekend I took pictures of my sister and her family. I had such a fun time taking their pictures especially my niece Catherine. She is 6 years old and such a Diva. She is definitely on her way to being America's Next Top Model!
